Chairman

MR OLUWOLE S. ODUYEMI

Mr. Oluwole S. Oduyemi is a retired Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and a past Chairman of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and has over 40 years’ experience in the Nigerian financial services sector.

He started his banking career with a brief stint with Barclays Bank, after which he joined the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) in 1964 and rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Director of Banking Supervision Department in 1984. He became Director of Banking Operations in 1987. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in International Banking and Finance from the Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. He became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK/Nigeria) in 1989. He has attended several courses in many institutions including the IMD in Lausanne Switzerland, London Business School, Cranfield Business School, FIDC (USA), Harvard Business School and the Federal Reserve Bank, Washington DC. He was given the award of Distinguished Alumnus by the University of Lagos in 1997.

Mr. Oduyemi is on the Board of several companies and previously served on the Board of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, Nigeria Provident Fund (now NSITF) and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

MR. OLUBUNMI O. ELESHO

He is a chartered accountant with a rich experience profile spanning over twenty five years of professional application. He won national prizes at all 3 stages of the ICAN examinations in a record 18 months period.

After accounting professional training in an audit and accountancy firm, he moved into group financial and internal control with Inlaks Group, a multi-national group spanning IT, Import/Export, Aluminum, Food Technology, etc.

He had an overview of banking as Citizens Bank’s Internal Controller as well as Operations Manager of Haggai Bank Inc.

Information Technology and Management exposure was developed as the Group Financial Controller of the accredited Nigerian representative of world leaders such as Compaq, Hewlett Packard, American Power Conversion, etc. He moved this company from negative income, through a reordering of processes, improved funding and relationship management, product margins and order volume/cycle management, to significant profits within a year.

A stint with Capital Alliance, Nigeria’s first private equity firm with a commitment fund of $35mln, with investors including IFC (a member of the World Bank Group) provided him with insight into investment management and profit optimization.

CHIEF OLUWOLE C. OKUNNUGA

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; he is a chartered accountant and has applied these variously in the past twenty-six years of working experience.

He is licensed to practice as a chartered accountant in Nigeria, after the mandatory training with an audit and accountancy firm with clients, under his supervision, spanning manufacturing, shipping, trading, world bank supported agricultural development projects, air travel, engineering, finance, government investment group of companies, etc.

Chief Okunnuga worked with a pioneer Nigerian information and communication technology company, rising from company accountant, through General Manager (Finance and Administration) and Director Product Planning and Development, to become the acting Managing Director. Within this period he took a training course in Computer Network Administration with the Drake’s Institute of Birmingham, England.

He has been into entrepreneurial activity and was also briefly Chief Operating Officer of a business consulting firm providing capital restructuring, fund sourcing and financial advisory services.  Chief Okunnuga is the managing partner of O. C. Okunnuga & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and CEO of Omega Matrix Ltd (Management Advisory & Executive Services). He is also a non- executive director of COOP Savings & Loans Ltd, a mortgage bank, and Mediplan Healthcare Ltd, a health management organization.

Chief Okunnuga recently entered an MBA programme with the University of Liverpool and has   completed the following courses with distinction grades:

MRS. SIMILOLUWA T. ELESHO

Mrs. Elesho holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Lagos State University. She has a distinguished versatile marketing, management and supervisory career spanning close to two decades in insurance, security, communications, oil to mention but a few. As a Chief Executive Officer of Allied Assets Ltd.  She oversees the coordination and development of a billion naira project in Lekki, Lagos aside fund raising, project management, supervision and general management functions.

As a Senior Area Manager with Glo Mobile Ltd, Mrs. Elesho sees to the implementation of sales and marketing plans for all the prepaid project packages. Her distinguished coordination, business growth strategies and supervision made her sales team achieve their sales target; thereby grew the business from base by 75% in a year.

As Retail/Corporate Sales Manager of same company, she developed the retail segment strategy that met the company’s sales objective within the stipulated period. Her ability to carefully monitor competitive activities and ensure proactive strategies to maintain company market position within the retail segment has consistently distinguished her from many equals. As a Retail Sales Executive (Electronic Airtime), Globalcom Ltd, she ensured successful implementation of the company’s initiated sales promotion.

An astute manager of men, materials and resources; her drive, knowledge, team development, high level customer management, ability to close large sales in very competitive environments and pedigree rubs on the team members. Her sound presence of mind and impeccable sense of duty had elevated her to the group of the Management Team of Allied Assets Limited which has progressively accelerates her overseeing of the coordination and development of the billion naira property project in Lekki, Lagos. MR GEORGE OKORO

George Okoro holds a Bachelor of Marketing degree from the University of Calabar, Cross River state and a Master Degree (MBA Management) from the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus.  An accomplished sales, logistics and marketing professional with expansive working knowledge and experience across various sectors; FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Renewal Energy, Telecommunication and Industrial goods.

George Okoro fondly called GO started his core selling and marketing career in SmithKline Beecham ( later GSK) in 1995 where he spent over 15 years handling different roles /responsibilities in Field Sales, Sales Management, Performance Enhancement and Customer Marketing where he bagged several awards including being Best Sales Representative ( 1998, 1999), Best Regional Manager 2005 and among others.

George left GlaxoSmithKline Consumer (GSK) in 2014 as Head of Customer Marketing to join Tough Stuff West Africa as pioneer Regional General Manager West Africa. In TSWA, George established the Renewable energy start up in 4 West Africa countries of Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’ivoire and Senegal. George moved to Globalcom, the telecom giant as Senior Sales Manager-Oyo 1 in 2016.

He is currently the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Dangote Cement for South region where he is responsible for annual sales of over 180 billion and has grown the business year on year.

The Edo state born Sales expert has infectious passion for driving consistent superior performance and records for developing winning culture in teams across multi-ethnic/cultural environment.

MR. SEGUN OMOTOSHO

Segun is The Chief Consultant, The Change Room, a Human Resource Consulting firm, He is also a Director in  Inscope Global Resources Ltd. (A medical projects, equipment procurement installation and maintenance company) with locations in 8 states in Nigeria and APICP, Admin, RCCG Lagos Province 47 as well as Pastor RCCG, Household of Faith, Aguda.

He has served as General Manager Shared Services, Japaul Oil & Maritime Services overseeing HR, Admin, Procurement & ICT. Actg COO, Japaul Shipping & Offshore Services and Group Human Resources Manager, Japaul Oil and Maritime Services, Plc.

Segun also worked as Head, Human Resources of Nigerian Aviation Handling Co. (Nahco) Plc and Actg Head Human Resources at Nigerdock Nig Plc – FZE. He also pioneered and headed the Consultancy & Research Dept, CIPM amongst several other appointments. The Core values of the Institute – SCRIPT was coined by him.

Everything about him epitomizes Professionalism and Integrity. His desire to deliver value and excellence permeates his everyday life. He has over 30 years of Project management, Change management, Human Resource Management and Consultancy experience. Interventions in the Health sector include:

1. Healing Stripes Cancer Screening & Diagnostic Centre, Lagos – Project Manager
2. Lead Consultant – Restructuring Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON/DFID/CIPM) across various states in Nigeria.

He has extensive experience in Strategy / Operations management, Recruitment and Selection, Employee, Community and Industrial Relations, Knowledge Management, Change Management, Organizational Design, Learning and Development, Leadership Development, and Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility spanning various sectors of the economy. He is a Facilitator and Master of Ceremony at many HR and Leadership development sessions in Nigeria, UK and India.

His academic credentials include a BSc in Economics and a Masters degree in Business Administration Specializing in Human Resource Management. He is also a Member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Of Nigeria, an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management and a graduate of The International Bible Institute and Leadership Training School. He is married to Chigozie and they are blessed with four children.

NELSON SEGUN AKERELE

Mr. Nelson Akerele has over 20 years practical experience in insurance underwriting, marketing and broking in Nigeria.  Prior to joining Royal Exchange in 2006, he was the Group Head, Technical Operations of Standard Alliance Insurance and later Group Head Marketing. Mr. Akerele had previously worked with Glanvill Enthoven & Co. Insurance Brokers Limited and was the pioneer CEO of MBC Insurance Brokers Limited.

An astute insurance professional and trainer in risk management, leadership and strategy, Mr. Akerele also has an in-depth knowledge of General insurance practice and Life underwriting/marketing; Engineering, Special risk arrangements and Bonds. He studied Insurance at the Kano State Polytechnic, Kano and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII), and Nigeria (ACIIN), Fellow, Institute of Direct Marketing Nigeria (FDMN) and an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS) and the prestigious IBM Marketing College Warbrook, London.

He was the Head, Marketing, before his elevation in December 2019 as the Executive Director (Operations) and currently the Ag. Managing Director/CEO, Royal Exchange Prudential Life Plc.
